Moving Forward Fast – Changes For The Late Starter in 2013

Things have really gone pretty slow for me this year and I can accept blame for that because it’s come down to me not taking action and not following through on goals I’d set myself, lack of direction and a fair bit of ‘sitting on the fence’ with regards to life. Complacency is a word that comes to mind.

As the new year approaches I’ve been thinking a lot about The Late Starter – how far it has come, where it’s at and where I want it to go. I originally set it up as a place where I could document my journey towards becoming location independent and that much really hasn’t changed.
I have always been pretty open to the different possibilities of exactly how I achieve location independence, but I would say that the charge had always been towards making money online. Not only to earn but to enjoy what I do and do it ethically. I remember when I first started out I watched a video on quick ways to make money online and ended up posting a Clickbank product link on a witch craft forum and nearly had spells cast on me! No more of that crap thankfully.

Changes

I’m happy to say there will be changes in store both in my life and how I live it AND in The Late Starter brand. Looking back over my posts I think I have published some helpful stuff for the novice IM’er, but other posts aren’t as helpful so I’ve got a lot of work to do. I’ll have much more helpful tips and be sharing successes and failures along the way. I’m currently working full-time and my plan is to continue to do this and earn as much as I can until I am able to live the laptop lifestyle so to speak.

I’ll be changing a few things around on the site with the help of my wife (the tech whizz) who is working on her new business The Marketing Canteen . For example, I plan to get rid of The Late Starter handbook and instead sending a welcome email and work on developing a relationship with my subscribers. I am thinking about installing the latest Thesis 2.0 theme and use that with a few customizations. I’d love a bit of feedback on this.

I also plan to really work on myself this year and become more spiritual & connected so I’ll be posting insights gained as well as synchronicities that occur for me along my path towards achieving these goals. I have read tons of books on self-development but haven’t followed through on 100% of what they all say, so I’ve got a fair bit of work in that department also. I have set some truly outrageous goals for myself this year and to be quite honest I have no idea how I’m going to achieve them. I’m working on a plan.
I’ll be posting a lot more frequently and actually taking steps to achieve the goals I have set myself for 2013 for you.

Mentoring

I’m also looking to invest in myself this year and plan on paying someone to help me move towards my goals. Something I’ve never done before but am very excited to do, especially with the kind of results I can look forward to achieving. I attended a webinar with this person who will become my mentor and then had a call with him. This person has achieved amazing results for himself and his clients so it’s something I’m really looking forward to in 2013. He’s a real nice bloke too which definitely helps.

The Goals

Though I haven’t exactly written my goals out correctly, I know what they mean. Some of them are small and relatively easy to attain, others are huge! Here they are.

Goals Goals

Obviously there are some goals in here that can easily be attained (like buying theme park tickets again), these are more of a to-do list. But there also some hefty goals on this list I wrote out a few weeks ago. Do you like where this is headed? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below :-)
